Software Development & Digital Media
Independent game developer, digital media artist, and field biologist. Building offline-first games, privacy-respecting software, and experiences that bridge code, ecology, and ethics.
Philosophy
When you buy or download a Quasi Penguin game, it is yours. No subscriptions, no servers required, no account to lose access to. You bought it. You have it.
Quasi Penguin does not harvest your data. Our games run offline in your browser or on your device. What lives in your browser history is managed by you, on your terms.
Jump can be installed as a PWA directly from GitHub. There is no app store, no login, and no tracking. The whole game lives in your browser. More games will follow this approach.
We believe software should behave exactly as described. No dark patterns, no hidden functions, no surprise monetization. The code does the thing. That is it.
Digital games can also become physical things you hold in your hands. We are developing real, tangible editions of our games to bring old-school, durable experiences to your tabletop. Yours forever.
A device. One game. Yours. Like the 80s, but now. We are exploring dedicated hardware for our games, creating simple, affordable handhelds built to last.
